A PA Commonwealth waterway, Primrose Creek was bisected by quarrying operations decades ago into an upper and lower reach.
PADEP has completed the first phase of restoration process.
As the reservoir fills in the next few months, artificial pumping will cease and a more natural sustained gravity flow will begin. Most importantly, as groundwater aquifers are being charged, habitats will become more diversified and lush as the water table rises to an optimum height.

435 foot long outlet channel with a single diesel pump sustains flow in the lower reach of Primrose Creek.
A green silt fence reduces sedimentation as the ground cover matures.
The reservoir water level rises approximately 1 inch per day.
